Como Stun Torino with Late Blitz in 3-1 Serie A Thriller

Torino 1-3 Como – Serie A Matchday 9

Como tore Torino’s defence apart with three brutal late goals to steal a mesmerising 3-1 victory that left the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino in stunned silence. Che Adams’ first-half opener counted for nothing as Jacobo Ramón, Nico Paz and Martin Baturina turned the game on its head in a dizzying nine-minute collapse.

Torino’s Bright Start Fades

The home crowd roared when Adams finished Kian Fitz-Jim’s cross after 24 minutes, Torino’s direct approach carving through Como’s possession-heavy gameplan. But their 28% possession told the story – wave after wave of Como attacks crashing against a defence marshalled by Perrone and Couto. Twice Lucas Perri pulled off miracle saves from Paz before the hour mark, Torino clinging on like storm-battered sailors.

Como’s Relentless Pressure Pays

Cesc Fàbregas’ substitutions changed everything. Ramón’s 81st-minute equaliser sparked bedlam, the defender turning home Paz’s cross. Six minutes later, Paz himself latched onto Couto’s through ball to slot past Perri. Then Baturina’s injury-time curler sealed it – Como’s 72% possession and 18 shots finally translating into goals. Torino’s Rafik Belghali’s yellow card summed up their ragged desperation as the game slipped away.

What This Means For Both Sides

This was Como at their fluid, fearless best – moving to mid-table with a statement win. For Torino, despite Adams’ bright start, this collapse raises serious questions about their game management. The manner of defeat – three goals conceded in nine minutes – will haunt Ignazio Abate’s side long after the final whistle. Next week’s fixtures can’t come soon enough for the wounded Granata.
