Meknès and FAR Rabat Stalemate in Goalless Botola Pro Clash

Meknès and FAR Rabat Share the Spoils in Tense Stalemate

CODM Meknès and FAR Rabat played out a goalless draw in a fiercely contested Botola Pro Round 6 encounter at Stade d’Honneur de Meknès, with both sides left frustrated after 90 minutes of attritional football.

Meknès Start Brightly But Lack Cutting Edge

The hosts signalled their intent early when Hamza El Wasti picked up a yellow card for a robust challenge in just the 5th minute, setting the tone for a physical battle. Meknès dominated possession (52%) and created more chances (8 total shots to Rabat’s 3), but found FAR’s defence in stubborn mood. Yassine Miloudi’s introduction on 69 minutes nearly sparked a breakthrough, but his energy couldn’t translate into clear opportunities.

FAR Rabat’s Disciplined Rearguard Action

Pedro Soares Gonçalves’ side absorbed pressure brilliantly, with Marouane Louadni and Fallou Formose Mendy forming an impenetrable barrier at times. Their three yellow cards (Louadni 14′, Ahmed Hammoudan 69′, Bola Jephte Kitambala 72′) showed the price of their resistance. Substitute Allan Okello’s late introduction nearly stole it for Rabat, but their attacking struggles continued – failing to register a single shot on target all game.

What This Result Means

For Meknès, this was two points dropped after controlling large periods, leaving them frustrated in their hunt for a top-half position. FAR Rabat will take heart from their defensive resilience but know they must find more creativity going forward. Both sides now look ahead to Matchday 7 knowing improvements are needed to climb the Botola Pro table.
