Braga Crush Famalicao 3-0 in Primeira Liga Rout

Braga’s Clinical Edge Punishes 10-Man Famalicao

SC Braga flexed their Primeira Liga credentials with a ruthless 3-0 dismantling of Famalicao in a fiery encounter that saw the visitors reduced to ten men. The scoreline tells only half the story – this was a night where discipline crumbled under Braga’s relentless pressure.

Famalicao’s Disciplinary Meltdown

The warning signs came early for Famalicao. Marcos Moura’s 21st-minute yellow set the tone before Rodrigo Pinheiro’s night ended in disaster – booked in the 70th minute, then dismissed instantly for a second reckless challenge. Óscar Aranda Subiela’s late yellow completed their misery as Braga smelled blood.

Horta Breaks the Deadlock

After weathering first-half frustration, Ricardo Horta struck gold in the 53rd minute. Adrian Barisic’s inch-perfect assist found Braga’s talisman, who buried it past Carević to ignite the Estádio Municipal. The floodgates were creaking.

Rofino’s Own Goal Nightmare

Famalicao defender Víctor Rofino compounded his team’s woes in the 67th minute, deflecting a dangerous cross past his own keeper. At 2-0 down and a man light, their resistance was broken.

Pau Victor’s Clinical Finish

Substitute Pau Victor rubbed salt in the wounds in the 88th minute, capitalizing on Victor Gómez’s tireless work down the right. The roaming fullback’s cutback found Victor perfectly for a composed finish that capped Braga’s dominance.

What This Means

Braga’s 59% possession and 15 shots (4 on target) showcased their control, while Famalicao’s paltry 0.19 xG tells of their attacking impotence. This result leaves Braga eyeing European places, while Famalicao must regroup fast before disciplinary issues derail their season.
