Raphinha & Yamal Run Riot as Barcelona Crush Alaves 6-1

Barcelona 6-1 Alaves: La Liga Masterclass Leaves Visitors Shellshocked

Barcelona ripped Alaves apart in a devastating 6-1 La Liga demolition, their attacking trio of Raphinha, Lamine Yamal and Fermín López combining like a hurricane through wheatfields. This wasn’t just a win—it was a statement, a reminder of the Catalans’ merciless streak when their young guns catch fire.

Barcelona’s Blitz Starts Early

The clock hadn’t reached eight minutes when Raphinha struck first, tapping in Fermín López’s cutback after Alaves’ defense parted like stage curtains. By the 23rd minute, the roles reversed—Fermín slotting home after 16-year-old Yamal carved them open with a nutmeg. Alaves’ frustration boiled over as Carlos Protesoni saw yellow for scything down Pedri, who limped off before halftime. Raphinha’s ruthless second—another Fermín assist—made it 3-0 before Yamal volleyed Cancelo’s cross home in stoppage time. Four goals. One half. Pure carnage.

Alaves Implode as Youth Runs Wild

Whatever Quique Sánchez Flores screamed at halftime didn’t stick. Within 20 minutes of the restart, Yamal danced past three defenders to smash home Gabriel Jesus’s layoff—VAR confirming the teenager’s brace. Substitute Anthony Gordon got in on the act late, rifling Rodri’s pass into the roof of the net before Alaves’ consolation through Mariano Díaz. The stats told the story: 77% possession, 13 shots to 7, xG of 3.24 versus 0.64. A massacre in every metric.

What This Means for Barcelona & Alaves

For Barça, this was a flex of their attacking depth. With Pedri injured, Fermín stepped up with two assists and a goal. Yamal, now La Liga’s youngest ever double goalscorer, looks unstoppable. Alaves, meanwhile, slump to 15th—their defense shredded, their midfield overrun, their only solace a late tap-in. The Basque side must regroup fast. For the Catalans? A title warning fired across the Pyrenees.
