Difaa EL Jadida dominate but settle for draw as UTS Rabat take chances
The 1-1 draw was a fair result on balance, with Difaa EL Jadida's greater attacking output (10 shots to UTS Rabat's 4) balanced by the visitors' superior efficiency in converting limited chances. Despite holding 53% possession and creating more openings, the home side only managed to match UTS Rabat's 3 shots on target, with Abderrazak Ennakouss' 67th-minute penalty cancelling out Imran Douieb's 53rd-minute opener.
Tactically, the game turned on clinical finishing rather than sustained pressure. UTS Rabat scored with their first shot on target through Douieb, while Difaa struggled to turn territorial advantage (7 shots off target) into clear chances before Ennakouss' spot-kick. The home side's 3 yellow cards to UTS Rabat's 2 (plus a late red for Omar Arjoune) reflected their frustration at failing to capitalise on dominance in open play.
The decisive stat was shot conversion: UTS Rabat scored from their only shot on target from open play, while Difaa required a penalty to breach their defence.
