Late Drama as Difaa EL Jadida Fight Back to Draw 1-1

Difaa EL Jadida 1-1 UTS Rabat – Botola Pro Matchday 6

Abderrazak Ennakouss’ 67th-minute penalty salvaged a point for Difaa EL Jadida in a fiery 1-1 draw with UTS Rabat that saw tempers flare and a red card brandished deep into stoppage time.

UTS Rabat Strike First Against Run of Play

The visitors stunned El Jadida with Imran Douieb’s 53rd-minute opener against the run of play – their first shot on target coming after Difaa had dominated 53% possession.

The goal sparked chaos with four yellow cards brandished in five minutes across both teams, Abdellah Farah’s late booking extending the tally to five cautions.

Difaa’s Penalty Pivot

The hosts’ pressure told when awarded a penalty just after the hour mark, Ennakouss making no mistake from the spot to restore parity. Rabat’s discipline unravelled as Omar Arjoune saw red in the 94th minute for a reckless challenge.

An astonishing nine second-half substitutions disrupted the flow as Difaa outshot their opponents 10-4 but lacked clinical edge despite their territorial dominance.

Botola Pro Implications

This attritional draw leaves both sides in mid-table anonymity as the Botola Pro season finds its rhythm. For Difaa, it represents a point gained from adversity; for Rabat, two dropped from a winning position. The real casualty was the match ball – booted into orbit during one of many heated exchanges in a contest that simmered with barely-contained hostility throughout.
