V-varen Nagasaki
Nagasaki Annihilate Hiroshima in J1 League Masterclass
The scoreboard flashed cruelly in the late October sun: V-Varen Nagasaki 4-0 Sanfrecce Hiroshima. This wasn’t just a J1 League victory – it was a humiliation, a systematic dismantling that left Hiroshima’s backline in tatters and their fans shell-shocked in the stands.
Nagasaki’s Early Onslaught
From the first whistle, Nagasaki moved like a machine oiled with pure malice. The opener came before Hiroshima could even settle, a ruthless break ending with the net rippling in the 12th minute. Hiroshima’s keeper could only watch as Nagasaki doubled their lead just nine minutes later, the away defense carved open like a surgeon’s incision.
Hiroshima’s Collapse
By halftime, Hiroshima’s players trudged off with the haunted look of men who’d seen the abyss. Nagasaki smelled blood. The third goal came just after the restart, Hiroshima’s midfield overrun yet again. When the fourth went in, the away end started emptying – no one could blame them for fleeing this massacre.
What This Means for Both Sides
For Nagasaki, this 4-0 demolition is a statement – they’re not just winning, they’re eviscerating. Hiroshima must now pick through the wreckage of their heaviest defeat this season, with questions looming over their defensive fragility. The J1 League table makes brutal reading for them tonight.
