RB Leipzig 6-0 Eintracht Frankfurt: Bundesliga Week 5 Annihilation
RB Leipzig delivered a merciless Bundesliga statement with a 6-0 demolition of shellshocked Eintracht Frankfurt at the Red Bull Arena, delivering five second-half goals in a performance that bordered on bullying.
Frankfurt’s Defensive Nightmare Unfolds
What began as a competitive first half disintegrated into pure humiliation for Frankfurt after the break. Leipzig’s relentless pressing saw them win possession in dangerous areas repeatedly, turning the screw with surgical precision. The floodgates opened in the 55th minute when a defensive howler gifted Leipzig their second, and from there it became a training exercise.
The hosts scored four goals in a devastating 18-minute spell that left Frankfurt players staring at the turf in disbelief. Leipzig’s substitutions only worsened the visitors’ misery, with fresh legs carving through a broken defensive line at will.
Leipzig’s Title Credentials Laid Bare
This wasn’t just victory, but a decimation that will echo across the Bundesliga. Leipzig’s +12 goal difference after five games screams their championship intentions, while Frankfurt must pick through the wreckage of their worst defensive showing in years.
The manner of collapse will particularly worry Frankfurt’s staff – veteran defenders were reduced to schoolboy errors as Leipzig’s youth and energy overwhelmed them. For Marco Rose’s side, this was the day they confirmed their status as genuine title contenders through sheer, brutal force.
