Simeone Stuns Parma as Torino Cruise to 3-0 Win

Torino Humiliate Parma in 3-0 Serie A Rout

Parma’s Stadio Ennio Tardini fell silent as Torino dismantled them 3-0 in a devastating Serie A performance, with Giovanni Simeone’s ruthless double leaving the hosts winless after seven matches.

Torino’s Lightning Start

The wrecking ball swung after just four minutes. Rafik Belghali carved through Parma’s defence like a hot knife through butter before squaring for Simeone to tap home. Before the home fans could catch their breath, Che Adams doubled the lead on 24 minutes – rifling home from close range after more shambolic defending.

Parma’s Diego Carlos summed up their frustration, earning a first-half yellow before being hooked at the interval. The stats told the story of Torino’s first-half dominance – the visitors scoring twice from just three shots while Parma’s 51% possession yielded nothing but impotent rage.

Parma’s Painful Collapse

The second half brought no respite. Simeone crushed any hope of a comeback on 69 minutes, latching onto another Belghali assist to make it 3-0. Parma’s Matija Frigan thought he’d grabbed a consolation on 82 minutes, only for VAR to cruelly disallow it – summing up their nightmare evening.

Torino’s defence stood tall against Parma’s 25 shots, with keeper Lucas Perri making eight saves. The hosts’ xG of 1.43 mocked their profligacy, while Torino’s clinical finishing (3 goals from 1.37 xG) showcased their razor edge.

What This Means

For Torino, this was a statement win – moving them into the top half with Ignazio Abate’s tactics working perfectly. Simeone’s brace takes him to four goals for the season, underlining his importance.

Parma remain rooted to the bottom, with Alberto Gilardino’s job now under serious threat. Their defensive fragility (19 shots conceded inside the box) is matched only by their attacking impotence. The Tardini faithful’s boos at full-time signal a long winter ahead.
