The 3-0 scoreline drastically misrepresents the balance of play, as Deportivo Riestra's 0.95 xG to Talleres Cordoba's 0.24 shows the hosts created far better chances despite the rout. Riestra dominated shot volume (16 total shots to 8), shots inside the box (9 to 1), and corners (8 to 4), yet Talleres converted with freakish efficiency - scoring with their only shot on target until the 68th minute.

Valentin Fascendini's opener (25') against the run of play set the tone, before clinical finishes from Mateo Caceres (68') and Agustin Alvarez (73') punished Riestra's wastefulness. Despite Talleres' 60% possession, they crafted just 5 shots on target - each yielding 0.05 xG or less - while Riestra's 5 on-target efforts averaged 0.19 xG each. The defining stat: Riestra's 9 shots inside the box produced just 0.79 xG, underscoring their poor shot selection in key areas.
