Lescano’s Lone Strike Seals Gritty 1-0 Huracán Win Over Aldosivi

Huracán 1-0 Aldosivi – Clausura Matchday 11

Leandro Lescano’s clinical first-half strike proved enough as Huracán ground out a nervy 1-0 victory over ten-man Aldosivi in a fiercely contested Liga Profesional Argentina Clausura clash at the Estadio Tomás Adolfo Ducó.

Huracán’s Early Pressure Pays Dividends

The hosts came flying out the blocks, their 51% possession translating into 18 total shots as Juan Francisco Bisanz terrorised Aldosivi’s left flank. The breakthrough arrived in the 36th minute – Bisanz driving to the byline before cutting back for Lescano to sweep home first-time from 12 yards, sending the raucous El Globo faithful into raptures.

Aldosivi’s frustration boiled over three minutes later when Joaquín Pombo saw yellow for a reckless lunge on Máximo Palazzo, who promptly joined him in the book after retaliating. The visitors barely mustered a first-half response, managing just two off-target efforts before the break.

Aldosivi’s Collapse After Red Card Drama

Their task became mountainous in the 74th minute when Pombo’s nightmare culminated in a straight red for chopping down Facundo Waller. The dismissal sparked chaos – Francisco Perruzzi and Leonardo Sigali both carded in the ensuing melee as Aldosivi’s discipline disintegrated.

Huracán should have killed it late, Óscar Romero forcing Lucas Acosta into a stunning save before the skipper himself was booked for dissent. But Diego Martínez’s men held firm – their backline repelling Aldosivi’s desperate aerial onslaught, with goalkeeper Sebastián Meza commanding his box through seven added minutes.

What This Result Means

For Huracán, this gritty three points keeps their faint Clausura hopes alive – moving them within touching distance of the continental qualification spots. Lescano’s fourth goal of the campaign cements his status as their talisman.

Aldosivi’s fifth straight away defeat leaves them staring at the relegation places, with Jorge Sanguinetti’s substitutions failing to spark any attacking fluidity. The red-hot reaction to Pombo’s dismissal will concern the hierarchy as much as their toothless attacking display.

Both sides face midweek Copa Argentina commitments before returning to league action – Huracán travelling to Talleres while Aldosivi host struggling Gimnasia in what now feels like a must-win.
