FUS Rabat Edge Zemamra 1-0 in Botola Pro Grind

FUS Rabat Grind Out 1-0 Away Win Over Khemis Zemamra

A moment of magic proved the difference as FUS Rabat edged CR Khemis Zemamra 1-0 in a tense Botola Pro encounter, the visitors’ defence standing firm to secure three vital points on the road. The fifth round fixture at Stade Municipal de Khemis Zemamra became a war of attrition, settled by a single second-half strike that left the home supporters crestfallen.

Zemamra’s Frustration Grows

From the first whistle, Khemis Zemamra poured forward, their wide players probing for openings against FUS Rabat’s compact backline. The home crowd roared with every incisive pass, but the final ball repeatedly let them down. Rabat’s goalkeeper remained untested for large periods, Zemamra’s attacks breaking down in the face of organised resistance. The visitors grew into the game as half-time approached, their counter-attacks carrying increasing menace.

Rabat’s Ruthless Moment

The breakthrough came against the run of play in the 67th minute. A rare Rabat foray forward saw their striker peel away at the back post, meeting a whipped cross with a glancing header that nestled inside the far post. The Zemamra defenders stood statuesque, their appeals for offside waved away as Rabat’s players wheeled away in celebration. The goal ignited the contest – Zemamra threw everything forward, their supporters roaring them on, but Rabat’s rearguard held firm through seven minutes of added time.

Botola Pro Momentum Shifts

This gritty 1-0 win sends FUS Rabat climbing the Botola Pro table, their defence recording a third clean sheet of the campaign. For Khemis Zemamra, it’s a fourth consecutive game without victory – their early-season promise evaporating in a mist of missed opportunities. The home side’s wastefulness in possession (recording just 2 shots on target from 12 attempts) proved decisive against Rabat’s streetwise defending. With the international break looming, Zemamra’s coaching staff face tough questions about their attacking play, while Rabat can build momentum from this smash-and-grab victory.
