Masr 3-2 Future FC: Premier League Matchday 7
The Cairo International Stadium erupted as Masr held on for a breathless 3-2 victory over Future FC in a Premier League classic that had everything – early fireworks, a fightback, and late heartbreak.
Masr Strike First Blood
Right from kickoff, the home side showed intent. The opener came in the 12th minute when Masr’s winger cut inside two defenders and curled a beauty into the top corner. Future FC’s keeper got fingertips to it but couldn’t prevent the net from rippling. The stadium DJ barely had time to play the goal music before Masr doubled their lead in the 24th minute – a defensive mix-up from Future FC allowing their striker to poke home from six yards.
Future FC’s Spirited Comeback
Just when Masr looked ready to run away with it, Future FC found their teeth. Their talismanic midfielder pulled one back against the run of play in the 38th minute, drilling a low shot through a crowded box. The momentum shifted completely after halftime as Future FC equalized in the 52nd minute – their fullback arriving late to head in a perfect cross from the right wing. For 20 minutes, Masr looked shellshocked as Future FC pressed for a winner, hitting the post in the 67th minute.
The Dramatic Winner
Against all momentum, Masr found their second wind. The winner came in the 83rd minute when their substitute forward timed his run perfectly to latch onto a through ball, rounding the keeper before slotting home through the legs of a desperate last-ditch tackle. Future FC threw everything forward in seven minutes of stoppage time, but Masr’s defense held firm through wave after wave of attacks.
What This Means
For Masr, this gutsy win moves them into the top half of the table – three precious points earned through sheer determination. Future FC will rue missed chances in a game they dominated for long stretches, their late rally falling just short. Both teams showed why the Premier League remains the most watchable competition in football – where even mid-table clashes serve up pure, unscripted drama until the final whistle.
