Lazio Stun Juventus 3-0 in Turin Rout

Juventus suffered a humiliating 3-0 home defeat to Lazio in Serie A’s seventh round, their dreams of a title challenge already hanging by a thread after Provstgaard, Isaksen and Dele-Bashiru inflicted Turin torture.

Juventus’ Possession Without Punch

The Allianz Stadium fell silent in the 37th minute when Oliver Provstgaard rose unchallenged to power home Mattia Zaccagni’s whipped cross. The Danish defender’s first Serie A goal exposed Juventus’ defensive frailties – a theme that would define this capitulation.

Spalletti’s side dominated 58% possession but produced just 0.79 xG, their attacks dissolving into tame long shots. Kolo Muani cut an isolated figure upfront, stranded by Alajbegovic’s ineffective wing play that saw him hooked at half-time.

Lazio’s Ruthless Counter-Attacking

Gustav Isaksen doubled Lazio’s lead on 66 minutes, finishing a devastating counter sparked by Nuno Tavares’ marauding run. The Dane’s strike left Juventus’ defense statuesque – their high line shredded as Isaksen celebrated in front of stunned Bianconeri ultras.

Gattuso’s side showed why they’re Italy’s counter-attacking masters, scoring from all three shots on target despite just 42% possession. Their 0.59 xG demonstrated lethal efficiency where Juventus floundered.

Juventus’ Collapse Complete

The humiliation peaked when substitute Fisayo Dele-Bashiru curled home Lazio’s third in the 89th minute, Andrea Pinamonti’s deft flick exposing Juventus’ shattered confidence. The Allianz emptied rapidly – plastic seats slamming shut in disgust.

Lazio’s two yellow cards (Taylor, Zaccagni) were battle scars from a perfectly executed smash-and-grab. Juventus? Zero cards, zero fight. A team that beat the ground in frustration more than they tested Mandas’ goal.

What This Means for Both Clubs

For Lazio, this statement win propels them into European contention, their gegenpressing blueprint proving devastating against elite opposition. For Juventus? Crisis talks loom after their worst home defeat in two seasons. Spalletti must fix this fragility fast before the Scudetto dream becomes a joke.
