Reysol Thrash Kobe 4-2 in J1 League Goal Frenzy

Kashiwa Reysol 4-2 Vissel Kobe: J1 League Fireworks

Kashiwa Reysol erupted for four goals in a breathtaking 4-2 victory over Vissel Kobe, turning the Hitachi Kashiwa Stadium into a carnival during this J1 League regular season thriller.

Shota Fujio broke the deadlock on 27 minutes, latching onto a loose ball after Sachiro Toshima’s pressing forced an error. The Reysol striker’s finish was cold-blooded – Kobe’s backline statuesque as the net rippled.

Reysol’s Relentless Press Pays Off

Ricardo Rodríguez’s men doubled their lead eight minutes after the restart. Hinata Yamauchi ghosted into the box to meet Toshima’s inch-perfect cross, heading past a stranded Daiya Maekawa. The hosts’ 44% possession belied their surgical precision – six shots on target from just 17 attempts.

Tojiro Kubo seemingly put the game to bed on 64 minutes, arriving late to hammer home Yoshio Koizumi’s cutback. But Kobe’s fightback began when substitute Ren Komatsu pounced on Diego Jara’s through ball to make it 3-1 with nine minutes left.

Kobe’s Late Surge Falls Short

Yusuke Segawa restored Reysol’s three-goal cushion immediately, capitalizing on defensive chaos to slot home. Diego Jara’s consolation strike in the 88th minute came too late for Michael Skibbe’s side, despite their 56% possession.

The visitors’ frustration boiled over in stoppage time – manager Skibbe and Reysol’s Wataru Harada both seeing yellow as tempers flared.

This statement win propels Reysol into title contention, while Kobe’s defense – conceding four despite outpassing their opponents 518 to 418 – leaves serious questions for Skibbe to answer before their next J1 League fixture.
