Al-Qadisiyah Humiliate Al Kholood 5-0 in Pro League Rout

Al-Qadisiyah FC eviscerated Al Kholood 5-0 in a Pro League masterclass that turned the Regular Season – 8 fixture into a brutal exhibition of attacking football. Brendan Rodgers’ men scored early and often, with Tijjani Reijnders, Christopher Bonsu Baah, Musab Al-Juwayr, Mateo Retegui and Julián Quiñones all finding the net in a merciless display.

Al-Qadisiyah’s Lightning Start

The slaughter began in the 4th minute. Reijnders, the Dutch midfielder pulling strings like a puppeteer, latched onto Mateo Retegui’s through ball and slotted past Hamed Abdullah Yousef with the cold precision of an assassin. Before Al Kholood could blink, Baah doubled the lead in the 13th minute, finishing Quiñones’ cutback with a striker’s instincts. The hosts’ 39% possession told the story – they were chasing shadows.

Al Kholood’s Collapse

Musab Al-Juwayr twisted the knife in the 40th minute, converting Mohammed Abu Al-Shamat’s cross to make it 3-0 before halftime. Al Kholood manager D. Buckingham threw on four substitutes by the 68th minute, but his side’s misery only deepened. A VAR-awarded penalty in the 62nd minute offered fleeting hope, but Iker Kortajarena’s weak effort was saved – the midfielder’s subsequent substitution feeling like mercy. Retegui added the fourth in the 67th minute, again assisted by the irresistible Quiñones, who then converted an 86th-minute penalty he’d won himself.

The Aftermath

Al-Qadisiyah’s 5.22 xG and 61% possession underscored total dominance, while Al Kholood must regroup after this psychological battering. For Rodgers’ high-flyers, this statement win puts the league on notice – their attack, firing on all cylinders, looks capable of shredding any defence. Al Kholood’s home fans left in stunned silence, their team’s 10 corners and 2.54 xG meaningless in the face of such ruthless efficiency. The Pro League has its new entertainers – and its new victims.
